Vanilla extract
I love vanilla and its aroma. We have in the stores only sold vanilla and vanilla sugar, is extremely rare vanilla extract is expensive, but why buy it if it turned out that it is easy to do yourself. Used vanilla extract to flavour the dough, the filling, the cream, etc., very tasty added to coffee and tea.

I must say that tested this recipe was insanely happy and want to share with you. Recommend doing "on trial" a little, and tasted the result, to determine the ingredients, maybe you would like more/less vanilla. We need: vanilla pods, soft, buttery, in short, fresh; a good quality vodka; a small bottle/jar.

Vanilla pod cut lengthwise, remove seeds and gently fold them in a jar, ideally, made of dark glass, if not, suitable transparent, just to keep in the dark.

Then the pod cut into 1-2 cm pieces and put in a container of the seeds.

Pour the vodka, seal and leave for 1-2 month (I personally kept 2 months), at least 1 time per week capacity shake. The photo recently filled vanilla vodka.

In this photo, the vanilla started to give the color and flavor, in 1-2 weeks. The smell of vodka disappears in a couple of weeks and the smell of vanilla, but you need to wait at least 1 month to feel the full aroma.

And this picture exactly 2 months, really extract not so dark, it is more transparent, just in this photo, the light somehow fell... Before storing drain to transparency, and for the beauty you can leave a few pieces of vanilla pod. Crazy vanilla flavor, delicious and beautiful. Stored almost indefinitely in a dark place, tightly sealed. Bon appetit!
