Description

Pickled green bananas with olives, garlic and red onion
Sounds quite unusual, isn't it? Even if I start to describe what happened - you will not be able to fully pass these tastes, this is a must try! Recipe of the snacks I found accidentally, changed a bit the proportions of the ingredients according to your taste and replaced the vinegar in the seasoning for sushi Kikkoman, because it is softer and more interesting taste. What I can say for sure - this appetizer is just created to apply it to the grilled pork.

Cooking

step-0
Take a completely green bananas, peel and cut into pieces 2-4 cm bananas Are difficult to clean, but can be cut in half and lengthwise, then pretty easy to remove the peel, or it can simply be cut.
step-1
In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. To lower the water to a peeled bananas and cook at a moderate boil for approximately 7-10 minutes. We don't need a very soft bananas, they must retain its elasticity in. Strain the bananas in a colander.
step-2
In another pan pour oil, add Kikkoman, salt, pepper, Bay leaf, chopped half rings onion and garlic (crush with the flat side of a knife). Put the pan on the fire, bring mixture to a boil and boil (moderate heat) until the onion has softened and garlic (about 10-15 minutes).
step-3
The resulting broth pour bananas, there add the olives and the juice of 3-4 limes.
step-4
When slightly cooled, put all in a jar (I fit a 0.5 l jar) and refrigerate.
step-5
Once the starter is completely cooled, you can take the jar on a picnic! ***don't be afraid of the presence of bananas - green bananas quite similar to ripe or the taste or the texture. They are quite elastic, if not hard and absolutely not sweet, a little astringent. So great for marinating.
