Pickled onions pearl and ruby
The site already has recipes for pickled onions, but only pearl. The proposed recipe is different from most. Pickled onions – a good savoury snack to strong drinks, a great addition and decoration for meat dishes. You can, of course, ready to buy, but to make their own hands and more interesting, and more reliable. For cooking I used onion sets – the usual onions and red eyes. It turned out ruby and pearl onions. Is not only color but also taste.


  • Bow white

  • Bay leaf

  • Vinegar

    50 ml


Banks, who will put onion, sterilize, cover to boil. Onions clean from the top layer of skin.
Trim the tips from the roots.
Lay the onions in the jars as tightly as possible.
I did not very tight. Send both to the onions pepper.
Make the marinade (this can be done in advance). To boil a liter of water with salt, Bay leaf and cloves. As soon as the water boils, pour in the vinegar, remove the marinade, stir and let cool slightly. Pour the marinade banks, tightly closed lids, tilting to cover, cover with a towel and allow to stand so the day.
Then flip and put into the refrigerator. Onions will be ready in two weeks.
