Description

If you ever find yourself in South-Eastern Anatolia, and you will taste the most delicious food in all of Turkey!!!!! My husband's parents are originally from Hatay, and having been there, I just fell in love with the local cuisine: kunefe, tel kadayif, hummus, paneer tatlisi, peinirli the helva, kuflu Cegelec and more. It is worth saying that in the kitchen Hatay clearly shows the influence of Syria and other Middle East countries. So only there you can try dishes that you never find in restaurants or cafes the rest of Turkey, well, or some will find, but the taste of others is not the same as the original. Even kunefe to taste different from the present, made in Hatay (kunefe with cream, the secret of which lies not only in the special test kadayif and yellowish cheese of Hatay, but also in the art of the chef). I want to offer you one sweet which is very easy to prepare, well, that was my power, as the other masterpieces need practice or help from the skilled Turkish housewife. Help yourself!!!!

Cooking

step-0
Make the syrup: In a saucepan pour 2 cups of water, add 2 cups of sugar (I added a Cup and a third, and it turned out very sweet, but the Turks have a sweet tooth, and if you love sooooo sweet, add 2 cups), 1/4 of a lemon (I was little, so I added a half). Put on the fire after boiling, cook for another 3 minutes and remove from heat.
step-1
Dough: in a bowl, mix the cottage cheese, eggs, butter, flour and soda, all stir until smooth, ready.
step-2
From the dough tear off pieces and make small lepeshechki, spread them on a baking tray lined with parchment and send in a preheated to 180 degrees oven and bake for 20 minutes.
step-3
Ready-made cakes out, put in a deep bowl (I used a high-temperature form) and pour the hot syrup (I had a little bit warmed up).
step-4
Using 2 minute turn them over to the other side and wait till they absorb all the syrup. Here are our lepeshechki.
step-5
Arrange in portioned plates and serve! Bon appetit.
