A delicious compote of currants. Cooked very easily and quickly because the berries are used directly with twigs. In winter it is very pleasant to open a jar!

Ingredients

  • Red currants

    1 kg

  • Water

    500 ml

  • Sugar

    250 g

Berries on the sprigs well washed. Boil water with sugar.

The berries are firmly put in sterile jars, pour boiling syrup, cover with sterile lids and sterilize (liter jars - 25 minutes). Immediately roll.

Since the compote, a concentrated, before applying you need to dilute it with water according to taste. I add roughly 0.5 l

A fruit compote can be used in desserts. For example, as an additive to ice cream.
