Lentil sandwich
This is a recipe of Turkish cuisine. The exact Turkish names I do not know, but in German it sounds like "Rote Linsen Aufstrich"- Numerous amount of positive reviews German users (which is very rare!) seduced me to this recipe. We had a lot fun with this "sandwich spreads", and what you want!

Ingredients

  • Lentils

    150 g

  • Broth

    300 ml

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Carrots

    1 piece

  • Garlic

    2 tooth

  • Yogurt

    100 ml

  • Olive oil

    4 Tbsp

  • Basil

    3 piece

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

National recipes are undemanding, there is always a very simple set of ingredients... But the technology of preparation can give a totally different taste, is like boiled rice and risotto!

Small carrots and a medium sized onion, garlic cut into small cubes and stew all together on a lightly heated olive oil until transparent.

Add the red lentils and fry all together until the lentils will absorb the oil.

Add the broth in small portions and sauté on medium heat for 10-12 min.

Blend immersion blender. To cool down a bit.

Season with salt and pepper, add natural yoghurt and chopped fresh Basil.

Insanely delicious as a separate dish, mashed potatoes and as spreads on bread! Recommend!
