Marinated herring with soy sauce
Delicious marinated herring with soy sauce was a revelation for me. Well liked. Would recommend. Beautiful, traditional Russian holiday appetizer.

Ingredients

  • Herring

    2 piece

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Soy sauce

    3 Tbsp

  • Vinegar

    1.5 Tbsp

  • Lemon juice

    2 Tbsp

  • Salt

    2 tsp

  • Sugar

    1 tsp

Cooking

Frozen herring defrost at room temperature.

Purified from the viscera, remove the head, tail, spine and bones, remove the skin.

Make a marinade. To do this, mix the soy sauce, Kikkoman, vinegar, lemon juice, salt and sugar. Instead of lemon juice you can use plain water.

In a container put the herring, onions and pour all the marinade. Leave for 12 hours. We ate herring in 6 hours, the taste is just divine. Can be safely used for salads. Perfect for everyone's favorite salad "Herring under a fur coat". If you love the herring was not very salty, increase the amount of sugar, otherwise reduce.
