Mashed potatoes
On the website there are several recipes mashed potatoes with the same name. But my recipe is different. Several years ago I adopted this recipe from the book recipes for a slow cooker-a pressure cooker. Potatoes turns out very tender, with a delicate aroma of fried potatoes. Interested? Ingredients

  • Potatoes

    1 kg

  • Salt

    2 tsp

  • Butter

    50 g

  • Vegetable oil

    50 g

  • Bay leaf

    2 piece

  • Allspice

    8 piece

  • Seasoning

    2 tsp

  • Water

    500 ml

Potatoes cut into medium dice.

In a saucepan with a thick bottom (preferably) heat oil and butter. Add the potatoes, add the spices and fry, stirring constantly until a nice Golden brown (not Iriarte!!!)

Pour in the fried potato water (water you need to pour enough so that the potatoes were just a cover), see photo. Add Bay leaf, allspice and salt. Cook over low heat until tender.

Select 1 - 1, 5 cups potato broth, pull out the Bay leaf and allspice. Crush the potato. We love to mash was not very steep, so I add the broth to the desired consistency of mashed potatoes.
