Potato dumplings
At the request of the admirers of my recipes want you to buy again Slovak dish. Faster and easier does not happen! Help yourself! Of flour there!

Ingredients

  • Potatoes

    500 g

  • Yolk egg

    1 piece

  • Starch

    80 g

  • Butter

    20 g

  • Dill

    1 coup

Boil potatoes until tender and mash

Puree to cool to a warm state. Add yolk, salt, starch. Knead the dough.

Dill finely chop. Add half to the dough. Again knead.

Wet hands formed little balls. Top to slightly flatten and make a depression (hole), but not through. You can do with your finger. I used the end of a wooden spoon.

Put a pot of water and bring the water to a boil. And here's a little Secret that I told the old Slovak grandmother! As soon as the water boils, pour half a glass of COLD water, in which stir 1 teaspoon of starch. Again bring to a boil. And only then!!! Lay the gnocchi in the water. Stir with a spoon and once the dumplings float, cook for 5 minutes.

Ready to choose the gnocchi with a slotted spoon. Smeared with butter, or add gravy (if there is one available) to try to get oil into the hole got! Serve hot.
