Honey gingerbread cake
I represent to Your attention a delicious treat that will definitely be appreciated not only children, but adults! This delicious, spicy, fragrant gingerbread, impregnated with a light and delicate chocolate yogurt cream will be a wonderful addition to an autumn tea party!


  • Chicken egg

    1 piece

  • Flour

    1.5 cup

  • Sugar

    1 cup

  • Honey

    2 Tbsp

  • Butter

    2 Tbsp

  • Cinnamon

    1 tsp

  • Ginger

    1 tsp

  • Coriander

    0.5 tsp

  • Yogurt

    1 cup

  • Soda

    1 tsp

  • Yogurt

    250 ml

  • Cocoa powder

    2 Tbsp

  • Powdered sugar

    3 Tbsp


Beat the egg with sugar.
Add the melted butter and honey.
Add the sifted flour, cinnamon, ginger, coriander, mix well.
In kefir add soda, stir until it bubbles. Gradually pour in the egg-sugar-flour mixture, stirring constantly. The dough pour in a greased bowl.
Bake in the mode "Pastries" 1 hour. After 40 minutes flip the cake using container-steamers and let it cook for another 20 minutes. When ready the cake should be cooled and cut into 2 Korzh.
You can just enjoy the nice taste of gingerbread, but you can "improve" it with cream. For this mix the yoghurt with the icing sugar and cocoa powder. If You like a more dense cream, in this case, you should add gelatin. Soak gelatin in cool water. After it swells, heat on a water bath until then, until the granules are completely dissolved. Add in yogurt-chocolate mixture, dissolved gelatin, stir and leave in a cool place for 10-15 minutes.
Lower Korzh coat with cream, cover with second Korzh. Decorate as desired. Top I miss homemade yoghurt (without any additives) and sprinkled with chopped almonds. Put in refrigerator for impregnation for 6-8 hours.
