Description

Basic tomato sauce
Simple cooking sauce, suitable for many dishes. Output 2.5 cups. I spread it because it is being used in my recipe "Chicken legs in Italian style" http://www.povarenok .ru/recipes/show/464 20/

Ingredients

  • Olive oil

    1 Tbsp

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Garlic

    2 tooth

  • Tomato paste

    2 Tbsp

  • Tomato

    800 g

  • Basil

    0.25 cup

Cooking

Heat the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic. Cook, stirring from time to time, for about 5 minutes, until onion is soft.

Add the tomato paste. Cook, stirring, for a minute.

Add the tomatoes. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and cook for 10 minutes - 15.

If you are using dry Basil, add it for 5 minutes until cooked sauce. If fresh, then at the very end.

The sauce is ready when it slightly thickens.

The sauce can be used for any dishes requiring a sauce for cooking. Perfect for pasta. Bon appetit!
