The strudel family recipe
The strudels, as they were prepared by my grandparents, and how I cook. A delicious main dish with dough, meat, and sauerkraut.

Ingredients

  • Water

    300 ml

  • Yeast

    30 g

  • Margarine

  • Sugar

  • Carrots

  • Cabbage

Wash the meat and dry with paper napkins. In a large pot (preferably casserole was high - 60 cm tall, later you will see why). Now, in a saucepan, pour a little vegetable oil and heat it, now put the meat in a pan and fry on all sides until Golden brown,

Now pour water so that the products were completely covered with water, bring to a boil, add Bay leaf, salt, pepper and diminished the heat, cook for 30-40 minutes. And roll out into a layer about 1 cm thick. Don't roll too thin. The layer of grease with melted margarine or butter, turn into a log and cut it into pieces of 5 cm.

Now you need to cover the pan with a lid, but keep in mind that during cooking the strudel very much larger in size and they need a place, and therefore need a high pan.
