Falafel, or pseudo-meatballs
There is a joke: no Israeli still did not fly into space because failed to put the falafel in the tube. In the promised land it is eaten everywhere. We have this dish is little known. So I decided to do the experiments and prepare this mysterious falafel, which is suitable for food in the post. Removed from the recipe spicy seasonings, changed the proportions and got... Tender, crispy, rich in trace elements, with a crazy smell and taste of meat cutlets - meatballs from chickpeas! With vegetables perfect harmony and a full meal! It is something extraordinary!

Ingredients

  • Chickpeas

  • Bulgur

  • Cilantro

    60 g

  • Parsley

  • Onion

  • Garlic

  • Flour

    3 Tbsp

  • Curry

    2 tsp

  • Cardamom

  • Black pepper

  • Salt

    2 tsp

  • Soda

    1 tsp

  • Water

    1 l

  • Vegetable oil

    1 cup

To prepare in advance all the necessary products.

Pre-soak chick peas in plain cold water at least 4 hours. You can leave for the night

Onions clear and finely chop. Garlic clear, skip through a garlic press. Greens finely chop.

The aroma is simply not to describe with words. When my son went into the kitchen, then asked, "Mom, you cooked a chicken?!". Symphony of cilantro, garlic and curry powder gives an unusual flavor!

Mix together onion, garlic, herbs and seasoning. Add bulgur and salt. Mix well.

Drain chickpeas, leaving 4 tbsp Grind well in a blender until the disappearance of lumps, grains. Here I have some work to do and thoroughly mash all of the chickpeas to make this here pasta.

In ready mashed chickpeas to put the prepared mix, flour and mix well.

To form balls of the desired size (about a walnut). To protect from those who want to drag the fragrant bulb.

In hot oil put the balls and fry on both sides until Golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon.

Time to taste and photograph the finished falafel, because they fly like hotcakes. (During my photo shoot hit 6 balls - was destroyed)

Honestly, I've never tried chickpeas. While cooking I had some doubts about the taste of this bean representative. But when I tried the finished falafel... It's something! It's a mad taste explosion of flavors. Resemble meat patties, is not different from the Swedish meatballs, crispy crust... I have to observe fasting and prepare different neskoromnyi meals. The experiment I was just delighted - I discovered a new product, Chickpeas. Thank you to Mistral for this. Try it yourself and be surprised heartily recommend!!
