Marble kugelhopf
Gugelhupf or Kugelhupf – South German, Austrian, Swiss and Alsatian term for a round cake pan with hole in the middle. The German word "Kugel" means "ball" or "globe". Kugelhopf especially popular in Alsace - the region that several times over the last couple of centuries has passed from France to Germany and Vice versa, as well as in Austria, so it is quite hard to find out the origin of the cupcake. This recipe turns out a delicious cupcake, tender, juicy and airy.

Ingredients

  • Butter

    250 g

  • Sugar

    250 g

  • Vanilla

    2 pinch

  • Flour

    350 g

  • Leavening agent

    2 tsp

  • Chicken egg

    4 piece

  • Vodka

    1.5 Tbsp

  • Milk

    250 ml

  • Cocoa powder

    3 Tbsp

  • Sugar

    3 Tbsp

  • Cocoa powder

    3 Tbsp

  • Milk

    3 Tbsp

  • Butter

    40 g

To turn on the oven to preheat at 180 deg. Beat butter with sugar, then add vanilla and vodka.

Proteins separated from the yolks. To enter in the oil mixture the egg yolks one at a time.

Add milk.

And the sifted flour with the baking powder. Mix thoroughly.

In the end add whipped whites and mix gently with a spatula movements upwards.

Divide the dough into two equal parts. In one part add cocoa and mix well.

The form of grease 1 tsp butter, put the first white part of the test, and on top of the dough with cocoa.

Mix randomly with a fork the dough in the form. Bake in preheated to 180 degrees oven for 50-60 minutes. Focus on dry skewer. The finished cake to cool completely in the form, and then to extract from it.

For glaze, mix all the ingredients together and cook on low heat until the sugar is dissolved. Then allow to cool until warm and pour glaze the cake. Bon appetit!
