Description

Creme de menthe
Thick, viscous, fragrant and very refreshing! If you do not add alcohol, will make a lovely syrup for cocktails, ice cream or for baking.

Ingredients

  • Mint

    1 coup

  • Water

    400 ml

  • Sugar

    2 cup

  • Lime

    0.4 piece

  • Citric acid

    0.5 tsp

  • Vodka

    0.5 l

Cooking

The mint soak in water for a few minutes and rinse well under running water

Cover with water, bring to boil and cook on slow heat for 15 minutes. Remove.

Add the mint to the broth sugar, slice of lime, citric acid and cook, stirring on medium heat for 10 minutes. The syrup to cool, strain, add vodka and mix well in a bottle, add fresh sprig of mint, which is removed after 5 days ( for more flavor )

For brighter colors you can add food coloring. I prefer to leave the natural color... the photo soft a La Mojito... Mint syrup with mineral water
