Kube semolina with meat sauce
Kube is an Iraqi dish. Very interesting on the palate reminiscent of dumplings with meat, only from a monkey. A very original dish! Most interesting, semolina, soaked in water, molded like a normal yeast dough! Simple and delicious!!!


  • Semolina

    500 g

  • Water

  • Minced meat

    300 g

  • Carrots

    1 piece

  • Tomato

    1 piece

  • Salt

  • Spices

  • Turmeric

    0.333 tsp

  • Flour

    2 tsp

  • Sour cream

    1 Tbsp

  • Garlic

    2 tooth


In semolina, add a little salt, then cover with cold water, mix well. Leave to swell for 1 hour.
From stuffing to form balls.
Ready for the moulding semolina to the touch and resembles yeast dough.
Semolina with meat to form Kube: take a piece of the monkey"test", replusive on his palm flat in the middle, put a meatball, then close up the decoys generated by Kolobok. Sculpt on the principle of normal pies, only round shape. Of this amount, the monkey turns 18-20 Kube. Extra Kube can be frozen.
Prepare the sauce: peel the carrots and cut into julienne strips or grate on a coarse grater. Clean two cloves of garlic.
Tomato pour boiling water, clear the skin, cut into cubes.
In a deep pan pour water, put the carrots, garlic, tomato. Add salt and season to taste, add turmeric. Bring to boil, into the boiling sauce to put Kube, cover and cook for 25-30 minutes. Kube in the process of cooking need to turn. At the end of cooking add the flour, sour cream/mayonnaise, boil for another 5 minutes on and off. Kube sauce is ready! Bon appetit!!!
