A fast and easy way to cook herring preserve at home. The recipe gave a friend a few years ago. My husband does not eat no herring, smoked mackerel, and then the guests ate almost all by myself...

Ingredients

  • Herring

    1 kg

  • Onion

    2 piece

  • Sugar

    0.5 Tbsp

  • Vegetable oil

    0.5 cup

  • Salt

    2 Tbsp

  • Tomato paste

    3 Tbsp

  • Vinegar

    5 Tbsp

  • Black pepper

    1 tsp

Cooking

Prepare the marinade: subfam.oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, tomato.paste, sugar stir well, bring to a boil, cool.

Fillet cut into serving pieces, onion cut into half rings.

Put all in a tray or pan alternating fillet, onion, marinade, on top to pour the entire.

Place in a cool place ready in 12 hours. Stored in the refrigerator up to a month ( though I can't confirm that disappears in a few days)
