Description

"Croque-monsieur" is the most famous French sandwich with ham and cheese. The sandwich is bound to the French word "croquer" which means "to crunch" and "monsieur" is "mister". For the first time these sandwiches originated in French cafés and bars in 1910, as an appetizer or a light meal. "Croque-Monsieur", served topped with a fried egg, is called "Сroque-madame" (in memory of women's hats at the time). The French are true gourmets! Well, let us turn a simple hot sandwich into a gourmet meal, a light snack in a festive and leisurely meal! This recipe was posted on the website in 2010 by user Baron under the name "croque-Monsieur and croque-Madame" and is illustrated with me in the framework of "Coloring".

Cooking

step-0
Slices of bread lightly grease with butter and fry on a dry pan on one side until Golden brown.
step-1
Flip. On 2 slices of bread place a slice of cheese and cover so the cheese is slightly melted.
step-2
On cheese put the ham, sprinkle with herbs, cover with the lettuce, put another slice of cheese and cover with the toasted piece of bread. Cover and cook another 30 seconds. A small note: after heat treatment of the lettuce is not very aesthetic:) so you can do without it, and just file a sandwich with fresh salad.
step-3
Separately for "Croque-Madame" fry an egg-Sunny-side up. It was the size of your sandwich, you can use a special device, or like me, a homemade ring out of tin foil. To put the egg on top of one of the sandwiches.
step-4
Serve immediately with coffee/tea and pre-purchased flowers - beloved/in bed. Oh yeah, and don't forget the newspaper :) must be something to entertain in the pauses between... food :) Great mood for the whole day you provided! :)
step-5
Bon appetit!
