Rösti with onions and bacon
Rösti, a Swiss national dish made from grated potatoes with additives of vegetable or animal fats. Rösti resemble the taste of potato pancakes or hash Browns. Historically, rösti is a traditional farmer Breakfast in the Canton of Bern. To date, rösti is eaten all over Switzerland and served during lunch or dinner as a side dish to meat or vegetable dishes. Ingredients

  • Potatoes

    2 piece

  • Dutch cheese

    100 g

  • Butter

    1 Tbsp

  • Bacon

    50 g

  • Leeks

    50 g

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

Cooking

Fry in butter finely sliced leeks.

Add the bacon cut into strips. Fry for 3-4 minutes. Remove from the heat.

On a coarse grater grate the potatoes and cheese. Salt, pepper to taste.

In the cheese fries add fried onion and bacon, stir.

In form, lined with baking paper spread rösti, pressing down lightly with a spoon. Put in oven, preheated to 180 degrees for 15 - 20 minutes.
