Description

Chant/Cholent
Chant – a traditional Jewish Sabbath dish. According to Jewish law, Saturday is not to cook any food. Whole roasting-cooking should be completed on Friday before sunset. Chant often not prepared at home and taken to the local bakery, put in the cooling oven, where the dish is "reached" by the time the family was returning after the prayers of the synagogue.

Cooking

step-0
Beans wash and cover with cold water. The same is done with barley. Leave for 6-12 hours. I think that the soak overnight, and that's what I did. Further barley to boil for 10-15 mins in the same water in which it soaked.
step-1
Meat cut into large pieces. In a plastic bag pour the flour, put the slices of meat, tie the bag and shake so that the flour coated meat in every bite. Fry the pieces over high heat in a thick-walled saucepan over vegetable mixture and melted butter. Pieces better fry portions. In principle, the author wrote that the roasted meat, based on their tastes. I also prefer to pre-fry meat. You can omit this paragraph.
step-2
After roasting meat, remove from pan, add to the saucepan of melted butter. Onion cut into quarter-rings. Sauté until Golden and translucent.
