Pastel de Nata
Very tender, crispy and flavorful cream puffs - pastel de Nata. The most famous delicacy of Portugal. Melt in your mouth custard with air testani basis. Delicious!

Ingredients

  • Milk

    350 ml

  • Cream

    50 ml

  • Yolk egg

    4 piece

  • Flour

    2 Tbsp

  • Sugar

    3 Tbsp

  • Lemon peel

  • Vanilla sugar

    0.5 pack

  • Salt

  • Puff pastry

    250 g

Let's make our custard. Mix in a saucepan the milk, cream and yolks. Add flour, salt and sugar. All mix well to avoid lumps. Put the lemon zest and vanilla sugar.

Put the cream on low heat and stir constantly, until thick cream. Strain the cream through a sieve and cover with parchment paper to avoid a film.

On a floured surface roll out the dough and cut 12 circles.

Our press circles in muffin tins and put into the fridge for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 190 degrees. fill our preparations cream by about half.

Bake for 15-20 minutes. You can sprinkle with cinnamon before serving. Bon appetit!

I didn't even think that these baskets will be so good. The dough is airy, but still with a light custard. Mmmm yum :)
