Cabbage balls
Fragrant steam juicy balls made from cabbage leaves stuffed with vegetables and meat. Served with a thick tomato sauce. The stuffing can be varied. If you want to cook a vegetarian version, eliminate the meat and add a little slightly nedovrsenoj rice. If you want to make absolutely dietary option, stuff the leaves only vegetables. Best to use young Kale. Its leaves are soft and supple, and can take any form.

1. From cabbage to cut the stalk.

2. Lower the cabbage into the boiling water and cook for a few minutes so that the leaves can be easily separated from the cob. It is important not to overcook, because then they will explode. To get the head out of the water, disassemble on the leaves and drop them in ice water. The small leaves cut into thin strips.

Heat the oil in a deep frying pan and sauté onions for a few minutes, add the garlic, stir, and heat for a minute, until the garlic gave the aroma, add the chopped tomatoes. If you are using canned tomatoes, just cut them in small pieces and add to the onions along with the juice. Cook the sauce until evaporation of excess liquid to become thick with rich red color.
