Fresh vegetables in winter
This billet did my mother in law. I liked it, and now I do. Now, in the harvest season, it is good to make a billet for the winter, when vegetables are expensive (in the metropolis, if not his backyard and cellar). It can be used for soups and other dishes, which facilitates and accelerates their preparation.


  • Parsley

    150 g

  • Sweet pepper

    300 g

  • Tomato

    1 kg

  • Carrots

    1 kg

  • Onion

    1 kg

  • Dill

    150 g

  • Salt

    1 kg


Thoroughly wash and dry the greens
and vegetables.
Carrots grate on a coarse grater.
Finely chop the onion,
also tomatoes and pepper. (The tomatoes I put a little less than 1 kg, it is a good choice.)
Chopped vegetables and herbs folded into a large container, thoroughly mix and season with salt.
Transfer the mixture to a glass jar (do not boil and roll). Store in the refrigerator. From this amount of ingredients makes about 3 liters of the mixture. In the preparation of soup this mixture and sauté in vegetable oil onion and carrot (about 2 tablespoons of the mixture to 4 quarts of soup). In this case, the soup is not salt. Also this mixture you can fill with stewed meat, fish and other dishes.
