Baked tomatoes with marinated tofu
Perfect light and flavorful side dish for meat dishes (in my case, lamb) or the original self-starter will decorate Your table. I'm sure anyone who knows what's inside, not immediately identify that it is Tofu. Serve hot or cold. This dish is especially appreciated by vegetarians and vegans and those who observe fasting. Tofu is rich in high quality vegetable protein that contains all essential amino acids and is a source of iron and calcium. While Tofu is low-calorie product that contains no cholesterol.

Ingredients

  • Basil

  • Sunflower oil

  • Lemon juice

  • Garlic

First, let us meat: the more it will marinate, the better. Wash the pieces of lamb (I used leg) from the bone fragments, remove excess moisture with a towel

For the marinade, mix the oil, Provencal herbs, rosemary, dried parsley, salt and pepper. Finely chop 2 cloves of garlic and add to the marinade

Flavored with both sides of meat with marinade and leave to rest. The longer the better. I marinated for about an hour.

We now proceed to the promised stuffed tomatoes. We need Tofu. Cut it small cubes, about 0,5x0,5 cm

Mix butter, salt and pepper, dry Basil (if fresh, it is better to take it), fresh herbs, garlic, lemon juice. The marinade should be fairly well long for salty, since Tofu tends to absorb the flavor and taste of the spices, the tomatoes we preselvat won't and they should get all the flavor from the marinade. It is possible that oil will need more, look at your taste, some of it will drain and remain in the plate.

Mix the tofu with the marinade, leave for 10-15 minutes

Spread the tomatoes in a fireproof form. Put in the oven simultaneously with marinated lamb on 200*C.
