Kabardian pilaf
Took the recipe from an old book "Cuisine of the peoples of the North Caucasus". But, as I am still Russian, I could not resist and slightly modernized the recipe:))) My family like it.

Ingredients

  • Vegetable oil

  • Water

    1-1,5 л

  • Salt

  • Melted butter

    2 ст. л.

  • Onion

    0,5 шт

  • Figure

  • Chicken

  • Carrots

    1 шт

My fried chicken, remove the skin, put in a pot, fill with cold water and cook until tender, skimming off any foam.

At this time, peel the onions and carrots. Onions finely chop.

Three carrots on a fine grater (do finely, as the family is not very fond of onions and carrots).

A roaster, put on fire, add vegetable oil and arrange the onion.

When the onions are almost ready, add carrots and simmer.

While onions and carrots are simmered, take 1.5 cups of rice and wash it well. Lightly fry rice in a frying pan in melted butter.

Now all the ingredients ready and you can all mix: pour the rice in a roaster, mix well with the carrots and onions.

Add to the chicken (pre-sliced), stir again well. Pour the broth in which the cooked chicken. Put the roaster on low heat and cover with lid. The pilaf is ready when the water boils away. Bon appétit!
