The drumstick oat cereal with cheese sauce
I found recently the "archival" journal cooking "Solyanochka". Publication No. 8 (86) 2005, and therefore archived). I really liked a recipe called "Chicken in oat flakes". Do not judge strictly, this is my first experience in cooking with a camera in hand)))

Ingredients

  • Chicken's leg

  • Oat flakes

    1/2 стак.

  • Mustard

    2 ст. л.

  • Parsley

    3 ст. л.

  • Milk

    1.5 стак.

  • Soft cheese

    1/2 стак.

  • Mustard seeds

    1 ч. л.

  • Flour

    1 ст. л.

  • Water

    250 мл

  • Black pepper

  • Salt

  • Vegetable oil

The ingredients required for cooking. The original recipe was the sauce and cheese in the broth, BUT... when it is cooking according to the recipe, it's not a sauce but an incomprehensible mass of a strange consistency ( So had to improvise), and was taken to a precarious situation...

Mix the milk and mustard

Mix oatmeal with 2 tbsp of parsley, salt and pepper.

Dip the drumstick in the milk with the mustard and roll in oat flakes. On a baking pour a little vegetable oil, spread the meat pieces and bake in preheated oven for 50-60 minutes at 200 degrees (when piercing the thickest part of the meat, resulting juice should be transparent). After 15-20 minutes from the beginning of the cooking add to the pan of warm water. 10 minutes before the end pour the chicken broth, which was formed in the process of roasting.

While the chicken is baked, prepare the sauce. The sauce that was suggested in the original recipe, did not take place (this fact is mentioned in the brief description), so improvise))) the mustard Seed and parsley taken from the original! Dissolve 1 tbsp flour in 50 ml of cool boiled water to avoid lumps.

Milk ( 200 ml) to put on a moderate heat. Add to heated milk diluted in water flour. Cook stirring constantly.

When the milk-flour mixture starts to thicken, add small portions of cheese (grated on a fine grater), the remaining parsley, mustard seed. Season with a little salt and add black pepper. Cook stirring to dissolve the cheese.

That's the consistency it turns out the sauce)

At the end of cooking time, pull our chicken out of the oven!
