Dry Apple jam
This recipe will be of interest to anyone who is struggling with excessive Apple harvest and wants with pleasure to think about this difficult struggle during the long winter evenings. Sugar for making you need much less than apples, and their harmonious companion, cinnamon, will give Apple slices charm and beauty.

Ingredients

  • Apple

    1 kg

  • Brown sugar

    300 g

  • Cinnamon

    1 Tbsp

  • Citric acid

    1 tsp

Cooking

step-0
Prepare the required products. For this delicacy it is best to take apples sweet varieties, in the extreme case of sweet and sour. The apples I got were different, late-ripening summer varieties, and mostly already fallen from the tree. But so good this recipe, which allows a non-conforming apples to make candy!
step-1
Apples cut into thin slices. I did it with a knife, and rolled. The major was divided into 12 parts, small to 8.
step-2
Tightly pack sliced apples on a baking sheet, sprinkle them with cinnamon, citric acid and sugar (about 50g to leave for the final topping), mix well. Put in a preheated 200 degree oven for 25 minutes.
step-3
Remove from the oven, enjoy the aroma of... Wait for apples to cool. Our slices will be more bland, but very delicious and beautiful.
step-4
Lay on the parchment, slightly sprinkled with the remaining sugar and leave to dry for 2-3 days. If drying outdoors, then cover with gauze. You can speed up this process in the oven with fan for 2-3 hours at a temperature of 60-75 degrees (which I did) or electric driers. Drying in the oven is necessary with the half-open door. Finished slices can be stored in glass, not tightly closed containers in a dry place at room temperature.
