Thick soup with chickpeas
Harira refers to the cuisine of the Maghreb. Spicy, full-bodied, with chickpeas and lentils. Try to cook this soup and surprise your loved ones.

Ingredients

  • Lamb

    400 g

  • Chickpeas

    100 g

  • Lentils

    100 g

  • Tomato

    4 piece

  • Peppers red hot chilli

    1 piece

  • Paprika sweet

    1 tsp

  • Turmeric

    0.5 tsp

  • Olive oil

    4 Tbsp

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

  • Spices

    0.5 tsp

  • Parsley

    3 sprig

Cooking

The chickpeas soak in water overnight. Drain the water, put the chickpeas in a saucepan, pour 0.5 liters of water and put on fire. Bring to a boil and cook on a slow one.

Peel the onions and cut into half rings. Lamb cut into pieces.

In a pan heat olive oil, fry the finely chopped hot pepper, onion until soft, stir in cumin, turmeric, ginger and paprika. After 1 -2 minutes, add the lamb and fry, stirring, for 5-7 minutes.

Meat with onions put in a saucepan with the chickpeas, if necessary, pour in water (enough to cover contents of pan). Bring to boil and simmer 20 minutes.

Tomatoes cut into pieces and grind in a blender.

Add the tomatoes to the soup, pour 0.5 liters of water, bring to a boil. Add the lentils.

Cook for another 20-30 minutes. Before serving, pepper. Garnish with chopped parsley. Bon appetit!
