"Ginger Crunch" as they are called in Australia and New Zealand. Crispy batter with ginger and a soft glaze is truly wonderful. Very lovers of spicy cakes. Help yourself.

Ingredients

  • Butter

    125 g

  • Sugar

    0.5 cup

  • Flour

    1.5 cup

  • Ginger

    1 tsp

  • Leavening agent

    1 tsp

  • Vegetable oil

    1 tsp

  • Butter

    75 g

  • Powdered sugar

    0.75 cup

  • Honey

    2 Tbsp

  • Ginger

    1 tsp

In a bowl mix sifted flour, ginger and baking powder. Soft butter vzbit with sugar. Add the flour mixture and knead a soft dough. Form grease with oil to flatten it the dough is compacted.

Bake in the oven at t=190 until Golden surface.

During this time cook the glaze. In a saucepan melt the butter, add the honey, icing sugar and ginger ( it should be freshly ground, otherwise there will be a strong flavor as it should ). Cook the mixture, stirring all the time, until smooth. The consistency is like honey.

Pour the ready cake with glaze and allow to cool completely.

Cut into squares and serve.
