Cheese balls
These balls my mom made when I was young. Many years have passed, and I can not forget the taste. Recently did herself... and seemed for a moment to your childhood! And I advise You to try these delicious cheese balls.

Ingredients

  • Cheese

    250 g

  • Chicken egg

    1 piece

  • Sugar

    2 Tbsp

  • Vanilla sugar

  • Soda

    0.5 tsp

  • Vinegar

    1 tsp

  • Flour

    2 cup

  • Salt

  • Vegetable oil

Beat egg with sugar and salt, add vanilla sugar to taste. I love the combination of cheese flavor with lemon, so I added chopped lemon zest.

Add the cheese, slaked soda and mix well. Gradually add flour until a homogeneous dough. I have tried with dried apricots, so the photo you can see small pieces of dried apricots. Flour may need less than 2 cups. The dough should not be liquid and not too thick. If there is liquid, it will be difficult to form balls, and if it is too thick, it will be difficult to propagate bulbs.

Of dough roll into balls (a little smaller than the size of a walnut). Easier to do this if periodically hands grease with vegetable oil.

Fry the balls in vegetable oil in a deep saucepan. Fry better on low heat (but the oil should be well heated). If the fire is large, they will quickly acquire a brown color, but the inside will be raw. Also note that when baking the balls increase, so to put in the oil you need to allow for increase in size.
