Description

Phoenician cake with semolina and turmeric
Cake I baked this weekend. I'm very interested in pie turmeric, decided we had to try. But when I started to knead the dough, then saw the part of the recipe of anise... Immediately I remembered my childhood, sickness, and mom gives me ammonia-anise drops. Yuck, yuck, yuck!.. After having reflected, decided the recipe is not changed. I have to say took a risk :-) I've Made this pie while it baked got very excited, what smells so good? Pie is cold. Poured freshly brewed tea, cut a piece of the pie... and admired! So delicious! After the tea was concluded - pie for leisure, need to repeat :-)

Cooking

step-0
In the bowl of a mixer, pour sugar, pouring the milk and the required amount of vegetable oil. Mix everything together to dissolve the sugar.
step-1
Anise seeds grind in a coffee grinder (I just crushed them in a mortar). Appeared peculiar smell, but in a cake they are clearly nobody got.
step-2
In the bowl of a mixer the milk, sugar and vegetable oil add flour, semolina, baking powder, turmeric, ground anise, sesame seeds (roasted until Golden brown) and pine nuts. All mix thoroughly with a mixer.
step-3
By this point heat the oven to 180*C. Take a form (preferably with a diameter of 20-23 cm), if necessary grease it with oil and sprinkle with semolina. I have a form of metal and I used baking paper. Spread the batter into the pan (it is thick) and lightly smooth the surface. Put in oven and bake. Readiness check with a toothpick.
step-4
Get this pie. Next time or take a different form (smaller) that would have been higher, or increase the amount of dough :-) On request the top can be sprinkled with powdered sugar.
step-5
And this is pie in the cut. Delicious!
