Since my husband loves Indian food, I decided to make him Biryani. Very tasty and flavorful. The most important difference from the pilaf - it is the spices and sauce.

Cooking
Onion finely chopped. Garlic and ginger finely chop or grate.
Rice put to boil. I use basmati rice mix
For sauce curry: combine turmeric, curry powder, chili powder, ground cumin and coriander, add water to make a thick paste. Heat the butter for the sauce, then add the garlic and ginger. After a minute add the spicy paste and cook for another 5 minutes, until the butter crumbles. Add the tomato paste and coconut milk, cook 5-7 minutes on low heat. Set aside.
Heat the remaining oil in a deep frying pan, add the onion and cook until Golden brown. Add 2 tbsp of curry sauce
Then the beans, cabbage, capsicum, tomato and cook 5 minutes, until the vegetables are soft.
Season and serve with the remaining curry sauce.
