Brown rice with sunflower seeds and vegetables
A tasty and healthy side dish with a nutty crunch of sunflower seeds in the spirit of the Indian pulao. Can be quite a separate dish. America will not open, but can someone come in handy as ideas.

For this dish the rice is boiled separately. I prefer to do it with rice bags. I took rice "Indica". Boil the rice until tender for 30 minutes in salted water.

Onions cut into cubes or thin half-rings and fry in butter until transparent.

Add the seeds to the onions and continue frying for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

There also add diced vegetables. Vegetables can be any that gives the opportunity to every time a new flavor: zucchini, pumpkin, tomatoes, peppers... I got frozen "Spring vegetables". Fry until the vegetables are tender 5-7 minutes.

Add the rice, mix well, season with salt and pepper. Cover and on low heat let it rest for 5-7 minutes. The finished dish can be sprinkled with herbs.
