Greek lentil soup
Lentils is one of the representatives bean and very popular in Greece. Lentil soup ( fakes) is very tasty and healthy dish that is a source of protein especially in combination with cereals. To cook this soup is very simple, many cook it according to their taste preferences. I cook it so. I apologize for no step-by-step, but believe me, the soup is simply delicious!

Ingredients

  • Lentils

  • Olive oil

  • Tomato paste

  • Carrots

  • Garlic

  • Bay leaf

  • Vinegar

    1 ч. л.

1. Lentils, rinse, put in a pot, pour water to cover the lentils by 2 fingers and boil for 3 minutes, then drain in toslak. 2. Finely chop the onion, carrots. In a pan pour oil and sauté onion, carrot for 5 minutes. Then put the lentils, garlic, chopped tomatoes ( tomato paste)and stir. 3. Pour water to 2 fingers and coated the lentils. Cook for 1 hour. Lentils should be soft. Season with salt and pepper, add the remaining oil, Bay leaf, oregano, finely chopped fresh herbs ( optional). Serve hot, adding a few drops of vinegar ( to taste)
