Description

Drink made from hibiscus with ginger
Quick, inexpensive, easy drink from all year round at hand. Can be easily adapted to your taste: make a more or less sweet, more or less spicy.

Ingredients

  • Water

    1 l

  • Hibiscus

    10 g

  • Ginger

    15 g

  • Sugar

    2 Tbsp

  • Lemon

    3 Tbsp

Cooking

step-0
In a pan add sugar and cut into strips or thin slices ginger (the smaller - the faster it'll give your taste and aroma). Cover with water and bring to boil.
step-1
Add the hibiscus flowers and boil for another 5 minutes. The oven off and leave the pan on the hot burner for another 10 minutes. Drain and cool.
step-2
Add the lemon juice. Into glasses add crushed ice and decorate them with a slice of lemon.
step-3
My flowers are very large. Small, broken or tea filter bags - the steeping time is better to reduce.
step-4
I like the "frost" on the glass. But today was not the right sugar: large crystals. Small sugar quickly melts.
step-5
Easily change the flavor of the drink (if you do not like ginger), adding grains of cardamom, sprocket badyan, cloves or cinnamon sticks. Spices must be whole. Remains base - brewed sweetened hibiscus tea.
