Jam from water-melon
First tried jam making, not of watermelon rind, and pulp of watermelon. Recipe found on the Internet. The jam was very sweet, pieces of flesh keep the watermelon flavor. Fans of the watermelon should be like. Besides, here, in the "Scullion", the jam made from watermelon pulp until it was.

Ingredients

  • Sugar

    1.2 kg

  • Citric acid

Watermelon flesh cut into cubes or small pieces. To remove seeds (this is the most tedious :) ). Pieces liberally sprinkle them with sugar and let stand 2-3 hours.

The extracted juice to drain from it and boil the syrup with sugar. Pour syrup over slices of watermelon and bring to a boil. In a few minutes jam remove from heat and let stand 8-10 hours.

After this jam from watermelon again boil for 2-3 minutes and again allow to stand 3-5 hours. Finally, in jam to add a pinch of vanillin, citric acid and again boil for 3-5 minutes. After that pour jam in sterilized jars and roll up. Output - 1 liter or a little more in the jam turns out a lot of syrup, and the boiled pieces.
