Description
Americans adore this pie. Can't do without it on thanksgiving, as we do in the New year without "Olivier". Also it is a common attribute of the table on Halloween. There is even a joke that the American housewife invented the recipe for this cake to dispose of the pumpkin pulp that remains after the celebration of Halloween. But that's not true. In America all year round sale pumpkin puree, which is prepared from the cake. The site has a few recipes for this pie. I offer you another, which is characterized by the method of preparation of the filling - pumpkin puree.

Cooking
Prepare the filling for the pie. Pumpkin clean and cut into small cubes.
Add to the chopped pumpkin, sugar, milk and cinnamon stick, simmer on low heat for 30 minutes.
While stewed pumpkin, prepare the dough. Take cold, but not ice cream, butter, salt, flour, sugar, egg. It is possible to grind by hand, but easier to grind and mix using a kitchen processor.
Knead a soft elastic dough and put it on 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
Take a convenient form with a diameter of 22-24 cm, roll out the dough, transfer it into the form, making bumpers.
Put the top sheet of baking paper on it beans or peas, the dough didn't "inflated", put in heated to 220 degrees oven and bake 20 minutes.
To the pumpkin add the vanilla and Haas seasoning as desired: ginger, cloves, star anise, cardamom, lemon peel, allspice. Grind the pumpkin into a puree. (The cinnamon stick pre-remove).
To the cooled mashed potatoes add the cream ( I have them pre-whipped), eggs. Mix all with blender or mixer.
Take out from the oven the crust, remove the beans, pour the filling. Diminish oven temperature to 180 degrees and bake pie for 50 minutes until tender.
Take out the finished cake, give it to cool completely, about 2 hours.
Ready cake sprinkle with powdered sugar with vanilla flavor from Haas.
