Description

Tahina-a paste of sesame seeds
Tahina - a paste of seeds of sesame, without which it is impossible to prepare any Baba ganoush nor falaffel or hummus and many other dishes of Eastern cuisine. Unfortunately, the finished pasta is not all the cooks can buy, and recipes I want to try! To restore justice, I went online in search of a recipe and tried it. So, tahina! Cook at home!

Ingredients

  • Seeds

    8 Tbsp

  • Vegetable oil

    2 Tbsp

  • Lemon juice

    1 Tbsp

  • Salt

  • Sesame oil

Cooking

step-0
It looks like pasta, store-bought. Its consistency is smooth enough and the pasta slowly drips off the spoon.
step-1
Here are the products we need + neutral vegetable oil (without taste and smell) and, if possible, a drop of sesame oil from toasted seeds.
step-2
In a pan, you bake the sesame seeds, so they were not raw to the taste! Quickly burn, so keep an eye on them and stir.
step-3
When the seeds acquired a Golden color, place them into another bowl and let cool. Then there are 3 options: 1. Pound them in a stone mortar and add the remaining ingredients. 2. Grind sesame seeds in a coffee grinder in small portions and add the remaining ingredients. 3. Grind in a blender adding the remaining ingredients.
step-4
I chose option # 3. It took me about 5 minutes to obtain a pasty mass. Adding the other ingredients and after tasting, I realized that my tahina is not inferior to taste the purchase.
