Lyrical digression. Despite the fact that many refer to peas as a "musical" product (like "hihihi!"), the benefits of pea written a lot. Roasted chickpeas - one of the favorite dishes of our family has sooo many years, especially I love him. When mom asked me what to bring to summer camp, I always ask for peas. While still 8 years old, I fried it myself and huge portions. I'm sure many know about this method of cooking the peas, and suddenly someone come in handy:-) On the website among the "pea" recipes I have not found, but if there is, please post back my recipe as an option:-) so... it's very simple. Soak in water dry peas (I do it overnight to thoroughly soaked, you can in the morning to the evening roast), thoroughly washed under running water, give it a drain. Put the frying pan to the fire (not the maximum, but slightly above average, I am called "active"), pour vegetable oil a couple of tablespoons, pour back the peas, salt to taste (try to be pleasant to the taste) and fry, stirring regularly, for 10-15 minutes. Periodically we try.
When the peas will be slightly harder and will become more or less edible flavor, add a little butter (10 grams - depends on the amount of peas), reduce the heat to low and fry for another 5-10 minutes (on a photo it is visible as bubbling oil, I put a little bit more:-) ). Stir and try. When the peas will be nice to crackled, the fire can be turned off, it is still a little lie down in the pan and "reach". If you overcook, it will be quite hard, but still tasty.
That's all! Gnaw on your health! PS don't know how much good remains in roasted peas, but surely more than in the chips:-) For a change, try!
