Thick cabbage with mushrooms and millet
A dish for lovers of sauerkraut. The recipe hails from my childhood, my mother often had prepared a cabbage. I don't much modernized and added mushrooms. Here's what came of it.

Ingredients

  • Sauerkraut

    200 g

  • Millet

    1 Tbsp

  • Potatoes

    6 piece

  • Water

    500 ml

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Mushrooms

    100 g

  • Sunflower oil

    5 Tbsp

  • Turmeric

    1 pinch

  • Allspice

Cooking

Peeled and cut potatoes put on the bottom of the pan in a single layer, on top of it pour the washed millet.

Potatoes with millet spread the cabbage (do not have to wash).

Fill with water to above the surface of the cabbage water was in three fingers. And put on to cook on a small fire until the potato is cooked.

When the potato is cooked, pull it out and mash with fork or potato masher. Put back in pan.

Onions and mushrooms cut into small cubes, add turmeric and pepper. Passeruem in butter until tender. Then add to the cabbage, stir and allow to simmer for 3 minutes.

When serving, be sure to pour vegetable oil. Bon appetit!!!
