Jam
Thick, bright marmalade beets with the taste of lemon candy with a spicy touch of sweet soy sauce. Very unusual, interesting and sincere. Marmalade goes well with crackers, cheese or as an addition to Aladushkin, pancakes, etc.. help yourself!

Ingredients

  • Beets

    400 g

  • Sugar

    150 g

  • Brown sugar

    50 g

  • Soy sauce

    1 Tbsp

  • Lemon juice

    3 Tbsp

Rotate the beets in a meat grinder with a fine mesh.

Drain juice from beets into a saucepan to sugar. Put on fire and bring to boil. Cook on low heat until the sugar is dissolved.

To spread the syrup over the beets, bring to boil and reduce the heat to a minimum. To remove the foam and simmer until tender, about 1.5 hours, stirring occasionally. It is very convenient to cook the marmalade in the slow cooker.
