"Russian" pilaf - barley with mushrooms. Barley, unfortunately, is not the favorite cereal in our time, but sorry... very sorry. Well, no wonder that the ancient Slavs gave her a name: barley from "the pearl& quot; pearl))) the Dish turned out, surprisingly, incredibly delicious.

Cooking
Croup to touch, wash thoroughly in several waters to transparency last and then ignited on a dry pan.
Pour boiling water and leave to swell.
Mushrooms to sort, wash, immersing in salt water, rinse with cold water and cut into slices. I had homework - frozen boiled krasnoholovets, so I just thawed them and sliced.
Fry the mushrooms in vegetable oil. Season with salt and pepper.
Carrots grate on a coarse grater or cut into strips,
Fry the onion in vegetable oil until transparent,
Add the carrots and fry until tender.
Discard the remaining barley in a sieve, then put in boiling water, bring to the boil, add salt and cook over low heat until tender. If the water is not all absorbed, drain it.
In a saucepan with a thick bottom pour a little vegetable oil, put the cereal, add the browned vegetables and mushrooms, mix well. Put the pan on the small fire on the divider, cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
When serving sprinkle with herbs and, if desired, green onions. Very tasty!!! Bon appetit!!!
