Cooking
Depending on the type of lentils to soak overnight or cook immediately (instructions on packaging). Vegetables clean, cut into.
I soaked the lentils for 2 hours before cooking. Onions, carrots, bell pepper sauté. Bacon and lentils cover with water and cook on medium heat for about an hour, add chopped potatoes, then the browned vegetables, to salt, add Bay leaf.
In a pan heat oil, add chopped garlic, a tablespoon of paprika and immediately remove from heat. Pour the mixture into the finished soup, cover, let stand and serve.
The cooking process is greatly accelerated if you use a pressure cooker - about 15-20 min, and lentils are ready. Bacon cut into small pieces and add to the soup.
