Lemonade with black currant
A delicious, refreshing drink. In the season of currants and a great idea to dispose of them.


  • Black currants

    4 l

  • Sugar

    1 cup

  • Lemon juice

  • Water


Pour the currants and 1 Cup water.
Simmer until berries are soft. Sugar is not added because it will make the berries tough and they will not be able to give its full flavor.
Strain the berries. We will continue to use only the juice.
Add in the juice the sugar and heat to dissolve the sugar.
When the sugar has dissolved, pour the syrup into the bottle, close and let cool. Then put in the refrigerator. Syrup we get 4 servings of lemonade. Pour 1/4 of syrup into a jug and add the same amount of water mixed with the juice of half a lemon. You can use the soda, then it will be a real lemonade. I of this amount of water was not enough. I've added 2 times more, but it's certainly a matter of taste. Serve over ice. Bon appetit!
