Pea soup is the old-fashioned way
Once upon a time, the potatoes have not reached us. Our ancestors put into the soup for density apples, turnips, cabbage. The exact recipes I don't know, but I wanted to dream on this subject. Of course, pea soup and potatoes traditionally associated in our minds, but I tried to do without it.

Ingredients

  • Chicken breast

Cooking

Wash peas several times to clean water, pour the water for 2 hours or overnight.

Breast wash, fill with water (I have a pot of 3 l) almost to the top, bring to a boil and carefully remove the foam. Add the rinsed onion. Finely chop bacon, put in a pan (bacon can take and more, I didn't want to do fat soup, and the smell of smoked meat that was enough). Cook Breasts until cooked at low boil. Breast, take out, take out the onion and throw away. Part or the entire breast, finely chop and return to pot. Add the peas and seasonings. Cook for 15-20 minutes.

Vegetables and apples wash and peel. Apples and turnips cut into strips.

Add to a pot of turnips and apples, in 5-10 minutes - the peppers and carrots. Crackers prikalivaet to clean the pan and add tomatoes, cook two minutes and add to the pot.
