Lemon granite
Granita is a traditional Sicilian dish. There are disputes that it is the drink or dessert. Granite resembles a snowcone, but, of course, because of its texture, is more related to the drinks.

  • Water

    250 ml

  • Lemon juice

    250 ml

  • Granulated sugar

    125 g

In a separate container, boil water, add sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. The resulting syrup to cool. Add the lemon juice, all mix thoroughly, put in the freezer.

For freezing Granita until the desired consistency takes about 6-7 hours. It is periodically necessary to get it out of the freezer and stir thoroughly with a fork removing lumps formed. When the consistency will resemble slightly melted snow, granite is ready!

You can freeze it for future use. Before serving, you need to get out of the freezer for a few minutes and mash with a fork.
