Hot pâté in pastry
Tasty pate in a crispy batter. This great snack will look great on the Christmas table and will surely be enjoyed by all your guests. For the contest "Gorenje: Christmas song".

  • Onion

  • Butter

  • Cream

    0.5 cup

  • Sour cream

    2 Tbsp

  • Chicken egg

  • Dry red wine

    0.5 cup

  • Flour

    2 cup

  • Starch

    2 Tbsp

  • Nutmeg

  • Pine nuts

    2 Tbsp

  • Black pepper

  • Basil

  • Sugar

    1 tsp

  • Salt


All the necessary products.
First, prepare the pate. To do this, sauté the onion in butter (cut into cubes) and slices of carrots.
Add the pork cubes, a little water and simmer until tender.
The liver is cut into slices. When the meat is ready, add the liver and fry quickly over high heat. Then reduce the heat, pour the wine and stew for another 10 minutes. Cool.
Miss pate twice through a meat grinder with a fine grid, add salt, add sugar, nutmeg, black pepper, and Basil. Stir well and add the cream. Last add the pine nuts (in principle, the additive may be any - to your taste).
Now the dough: mix the flour with the starch, season with salt, add the butter and chop all into fine crumbs. Then pour sour cream and egg and knead the dough. Put in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Roll out the pastry (about 0.5 cm) and cut out circles bigger and smaller. Make a small hole in the middle. To form a ball of paste, put it on a large circle on top and cover the small, shaped to close up the edges. To put our pashtetiki in the muffin (I don't have one, so I used the molds for tartlets). Bake in the oven at 250°C for 20 minutes. In the finished pies through the hole to pour the broth.
Put it on plates, garnish with "ate" (dill) with "toys" (cherry tomatoes) and serve.
