Tomato sauce with celery
Enjoy delicious homemade tomato sauce with a touch of spice, mild flavor of celery. It is ideal for main dishes, especially as a seasoning for spaghetti and other dishes made with pasta. And also you can use it in dishes instead of tomato paste or plain sauce.

Ingredients

  • Tomato

    1 kg

  • Celery root

    1 piece

  • Onion

    2 piece

  • Carrots

    2 piece

  • Sunflower oil

    100 ml

  • Garlic

    5 tooth

  • Salt

    1 tsp

  • Sugar

    2 Tbsp

  • Vinegar

    50 ml

  • Allspice

    0.25 tsp

  • Black pepper

    0.5 tsp

Here our products. Tomatoes to wash up well. Carrots, onions and celery to wash and clean.

Vegetables skip through Mincer or grind in a blender. Can of tomato pre-remove the skin, rinsing them with boiling water. Either puree the vegetables through a sieve. And you can leave. It is not a must. Pour vegetable puree into a saucepan, salt, sugar, butter, chopped peppers. Brought to kiberia and cook, stirring occasionally for 30 minutes.

After add the chopped garlic and vinegar and cook for another 15 minutes. At this stage I recommend to try the sauce. And maybe add what you are missing. (salt, sugar, and maybe garlic.)

Pour in sterilized jars and preserve. Can be stored in the pantry.
