Rice ring with vegetables stew
Baked rice rings are very popular in Germany. In this recipe it is served with light vegetable stew and creamy sauce with shrimp. Rice turns tender with the addition of cheese, egg yolks and cream.

1. Preheat the oven to 200C. Lubricate the form of butter. Cook rice in hot broth for 20 minutes or until tender. Add in rice, cream, egg yolks, cheese, black pepper and salt (little because the cheese adds salt). This figure in itself is very tasty, and it can immediately serve hot with salad or as a side dish to meat.

2. Flavored rice mix, put into a form and carefully press with a spoon. All this can be done the day before serving, cover and put into the refrigerator. For an hour before serving to get the rice from the refrigerator and return to room temperature, otherwise it will not be baked as it should. For half an hour before serving put the rice in the oven and bake for 25 minutes until Golden brown.

3. Meanwhile, the green beans washed and cut into. Scrape the carrots and cut into equal pieces. From asparagus to break off the hard stem and chop.

4. In a large pot boil water and add the carrots, cover and cook for 5 minutes. Add beans, asparagus and peas, cover and cook for another 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are soft.

5. Melt the butter for the sauce in a saucepan with a thick bottom. Add the flour and cook, stirring occasionally, 2 minutes. Remove from heat, add cream, broth and stir, return to heat and cook, stirring, until it thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste, add grated nutmeg and sweet paprika. Put in the scampi sauce and warm on low heat for 2-3 minutes.
