Quince jam with cinnamon
If the quince seems very hard, and I want to cook soft, sweet something. Read how to do it.

Ingredients

  • Quince

    1 piece

  • Lemon juice

    1 Tbsp

  • Sugar

    100 g

  • Cinnamon

    0.25 tsp

Took one big iovino, washed, cut into wedges, cored, cut smaller.

Throw it into the pot filled with water so that all the pieces were covered with water.

Brought to a boil, reduce gas and cook on medium heat 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Quince becomes softer. Then added 75 grams (3 tablespoons) of sugar, a tablespoon of lemon juice and a quarter teaspoon of cinnamon, diminish the fire and leave for 5 minutes until the sugar is dissolved. Then, stirring from time to time, kept on low heat for another 20-25 minutes. The syrup was veeeery sweet, and the quince is soft and shiny.

Removed from heat, cooled a bit.
